HEI 2010 subcomponent scores did not significantly differ by depressive symptoms status; however, there was a strong trend toward significance for the total HEI 2010 score, such that participants with depressive symptoms had lower scores than those without depressive symptoms. 3.2.
Excerpts
We found that age and systolic blood pressure were significantly associated with CIMT, while gamma-tocopherol was close to significance ( Table 4 ). 3.2.
By contrast, it appeared previously that the duration of follow was a highly significant factor that could affect the size or the T2D-GI risk relation [ 20 ], an observation reproduced and Section 3.2.8 in [ 11 ].
Notwithstanding their borderline significance, the strength of the correlations is highly similar between these parameters and they do not seem to be superior to baseline 25(OH)D.
This inhibitor was used in a post-conditioning manner and the post-infarct incubation period was one week long, so the results from this study cannot be directly compared to our preconditioning design, but even if our WRA is half of the same reached with specific inhibitors, it is still quite significant.
hugely significantqualified
South Asia’s education systems are in effect passive bystanders to the unfolding of a hugely significant nutrition and health crisis; they must do more to inform, educate and promote improved dietary choices, physical activity and healthy behaviours [ 39 ].
a positive trendgold
This is a positive trend—although it is tempered by the fact that only 1% of the products in both datasets were fruits or vegetables (such as “packaged” bagged salads with Disney character licensing). 4.1.
However, in Sweden, the association was only marginally significant (with the reduction in HR per-tertile decrease = 0.81; 95% CI 0.66–0.99) [ 114 ] and in Italy no relationship with the DII was observed, though there was radiological evidence of emphysema across DII quartiles (OR Quartile4vs1 = 1.30, 95% CI 1.01–1.67, P trend = 0.01) [ 115 ].
a slight trendgold
Constipation was the least improved IBS symptom during both approaches; additionally, only a slight trend was witnessed for improved diarrhoea in the low FODMAP group by Staudacher et al.
However, the highly significant improvements witnessed in all measured variables, using MANOVA testing, suggest that the placebo effect is unlikely to be of significant impact.
The remaining subtypes also showed a trend towards normalisation of bowel habits.
a positive trendgold
Visual trend inspection showed a positive trend when nudges were in place, which was more apparent with female purchases and during the first intervention (B) phase.
The continuous association between the number of days that animal source foods were consumed and total ASQ suggested a marginally significant 6.1 [95% CI 0.2, 12.1] point greater score associated with each additional day of consumption of ASFs after adjusting for confounders ( Table 5 ).
a slight trendgold
Intent to treat analysis showed a slight trend toward composite memory improvement in the MAD group and a slight decline in the NIA diet group.
When comparing the younger (6–9 years) to the older (10–12 years) children, a significant trend towards a reduction in overweight including obesity could be seen in the younger, but not the older, children (OR = 0.984 (0.972–0.996) for 6–9 year old children and OR = 0.991 (0.977–1.005) for 10–12 year old children).
Changes in Nodules: Multivariate Analyses At the multivariate log-linear robust Poisson regression analysis, as reported in Table 2 , HS phenotype (F = 5.33, p = 0.001), family history of HS (F = 9.31, p = 0.004) and the Hurley score (F = 8.07, p = 0.007) resulted predictors of changes in nodules, whereas disease duration (F = 2.01, p = 0.163) and change in weight (F = 1.78, p = 0.189) were borderline significant.
Furthermore, long working hours typical of the routine of many individuals nowadays make it hard for people to return home for lunch, which leads to an increasing trend of having meals in establishments such as self-service and fast-food restaurants [ 21 ].
During the 1960s, apparent sugar intake increased considerably by 8.13% per year (from 26.69 g/day/person in 1961 to 40.66 g/day/person in 1968) followed by a sharp significant decrease( p = 0.001)up until the early-1970s by as much as 9.26% per year ( Table 2 ), and within a very short span with a decreasing trend, the apparent intake was back to the level that occurred in the early-1960s ( Figure 3 B).
Surprisingly, there was an increasing trend in per capita apparent pulses intake between 1968 and 1976 by 6.5% per year in spite of the huge disruption from the Liberation War and natural calamities.
The amounts of DHA and AA in human milk, similarly to NA, had a decreasing trend over the lactation period ( Table S3 ).
This study highlighted a decreasing trend in e-GST mean values, although not in a statistically significant manner and an improvement in renal function assessed through estimated-GFR (e-GFR).
This result almost significantly favors the HMB supplementation against placebo with the smallest heterogeneity possible (I2 = 0%).
This process was repeated 5 times (similar to 5-fold cross validation), and in each instance the correlations where (i) high and (ii) highly significant; and the multiple regression equations for each of the 5 “folds” were observed to be similar with regards to magnitude of the estimated coefficients.
A decreasing trend observed for the milk and alternatives HEI subscore may partially explain the observed decrease in vitamin D since most of these foods are fortified with vitamin D.
The fact that both RCTs enrolled large numbers of participants meant that they could obtain results for various subgroups, and, indeed, both papers reported that subgroups had significant or nearly significant reductions in disease outcomes from vitamin D supplementation, as shown in Table 1 .
