Five-point scales were set for each item (e.g., “My weight has always been a pain in my heart.”; “I think I am fat in others’ eyes”), with an increasing trend from “never (0)” to “always (4)” representing their dissatisfaction with their body image.

Concerning lipid metabolism, D patients had significantly higher triglycerides (at T1 p < 0.001, at T6 p = 0.002, at T12 p < 0.001) and total cholesterol (at T6 p = 0.004, at T12 p = 0.009) than the ND group as well as a significant reduction in HDL cholesterol at T12 ( p = 0.020); markers of lipid metabolism showed a decreasing trend in both groups during observation ( Figure 2 and Table S3 ).

In aged mice, while fed serum insulin showed a decreasing trend, fasting serum insulin showed an increasing trend ( Figure 2 B), leading to a significantly increased HOMA-IR in aged mice ( Figure 2 C).

However, there was an interesting trend in the spatial distribution towards the top-right part of the plot, indicating a tendency to differentiate between patients at admission and discharge times.

Similarly, although not statistically significant, a slight trend was observed in S-SAT and L-SAT values.

[ 49 ], a slight trend towards an improvement in the glare sensitivity (mainly at medium frequencies) was observed from the first to the third month of supplementation (20 mg/day), and only after six months of lutein supplementation was a significant change observed in healthy subjects.

Perceived Stress and Anxiety As shown in Table 5 , PSS total scores showed a decreasing trend over the study period, which was of greater magnitude in the experimental group (mean decrease of 9.1 points) as compared with the placebo group (mean decrease 5.8 points), although between-group differences were not statistically significant.

Only nominally significant associations were included (multiple comparison correction was not performed).

Nevertheless, a second analysis revealed that berry treatments showed an increase in blood insulin levels and a notable trend toward a reduction in serum glucose.

This study presents a strong trend towards the presence of poor sleep in both males and females, elite and sub-elite GAA athletes.

This was ascribed to the fact that the mean scores for the above factors reduced at first in both diet groups, then afterwards showed a trend of staying modest in the HCLF group and, over time, returned to near the initial levels in the very LCHF group [ 39 ].

Finally, pasta/cereal dishes, snacks, and sauces (both ultra-processed and non-ultra-processed) displayed a decreasing trend of dAGEs contribution with lower overall intake.

During the intervention period, an increasing trend in VE was observed for both test products, but it did not reach superiority over placebo.

While both HA groups showed a trend to suppress wrinkles, the effect was significant (vs. the placebo) only for the 300 kDa group after 8 weeks; it was not significant at 12 weeks for either of the groups.

Effect of Age on Reasons for Supplement Use There was a positive trend for increased use of dietary supplements for heart, joint, and bone health as age increased.

We also observed a negative trend of fewer people using supplements for energy, immune boosting, and skin, hair, and nail health with increasing age ( Figure 4 ).

Although the groups administered 80 mg/kg (SWP-L) and 160 mg/kg (SWP-H) of SWP exhibited an increasing trend in uterine thickness compared to the vehicle-only OVX group, these changes were not statistically significant ( Figure 3 b).
