This finding should be interpreted with caution since it was only marginally significant ( p = 0.05) in one out of several tests conducted.
Excerpts
Results for all SNPs that were nominally significant in our analysis (p<0.05) among the entire study cohort can be found in S2 Table .
Survival of CWD-negative females among genotypes was marginally significant ( χ 2 = 5.8, df = 2, p = 0.05) with higher survival of 225*F deer compared to 225SS deer.
Multivariable-adjusted GLM demonstrated a significant trend between individual dyslipidemia components and serum uric acid levels (P < 0.05).
While CRP levels, modelled as a continuous variable, were not associated with OLD, we did find a marginally significant association at CRP levels above 9 mg/L (aOR = 2.55, 95%CI 0.97–6.76, p = 0.05) ( S1 Table ).
Compared with control NK cells, TGF-beta treated NK cells maintained in culture with LY2157299 showed a slight trend to increased production of TNF-alpha (1.25-fold, p = 0.05) and IFN-gamma (1.06-fold, p = 0.4).
In order to more directly measure the relationship between methylation and expression, correlation was tested between nominally significant DMRs (n = 6,927) and expression probes within 1 Mb (n = 54,611). 503 significant relationships (corrected p-value <0.05) were identified between expression and methylation data consisting of 354 unique methylation clusters and 491 expression probes ( S5 Table ).
Right thalamic volumetric data narrowly missed statistical significance (p = 0.05).
parviglumis was highly significant ( X 2 = 113, p-value < 0.05).
The GLM analysis with three different response models (by varying the HRF peak latency with 3s increments) yielded almost entirely distinctive activation maps ( Fig 2B ), each of which was only marginally significant ( p <0.05, uncorrected).
We observed a strong trend towards statistical significance of an interaction effect between the biological variability and feedback type on performance ( F (2 , 216) = 2 . 98 , p = 0 . 05 , two-way ANOVA ).
Interaction effect of sex and age showed a highly significant (p < 0.01) effect with BW and measured morphometric traits, while moderately significant (p < 0.05) with EW.
The environmental variables NDWI and NDVI were also included in the multivariate regression given their near significance ( p = 0.05).
Only 2 were negatively correlated (eicosane and naphthalene 1,2,3); but tetradecanoic acid, hexadecane, undecane 5-methyl, (-)-alpha, hexadecenoic acid, octadecanoic acid, and octadecane had a highly significant correlation (P ≤ 0.05).
Sex-specific SI Trends during Growth The interaction effect of categorical age (<6 or ≥6 years) and sex on SI was nominally significant ( p = 0.05).
In addition, marginal significance was observed for poor overall survival in patients with frontal lesions (Log rank test: p = 0.050) ( Table 6 ).
The main effect of identity strength was marginally significant [ F (4.467,31.266) = 3.651 P <0.05].
The greater increase in serum concentration of MCP-1 in CONV-R mice compared to GF mice at this time point did not reach statistical significance (117.9±19.55 pg/ml CONV-R vs. 57.53±8.61 pg/ml GF, P = .05).
We checked the nominal significance of each of these tests using two-tailed t-tests, and each was nominally significant at p <0.05.
An independent t-test showed that the difference (.657, 95% CI [.010, 1.303]) in the SOC-R total score between gender was marginally significant, ( t (2371) = 1.99, p = .05), with males ( M = 45.16) showing slightly higher scores than females ( M = 44.50).
Using those designs, most of the quadratic models obtained for each bacterium were highly significant, as is evident from high Model F-values and low p -values ( p <0.05) ( S4 Table ), confirming the adequacy of the model fits.
When NSCs were incubated with both LCD and KT5823 the inhibitory effects of the two blockers on neuronal differentiation were additive and highly significant ( P <0.05 at D3; P <0.0001 at D6; P <0.0001 at D10 vs. control; Figure 5H ).
Overall, children who were admitted to the hospital with very severe pneumonia had 6 times higher odds of death (OR: 6.52, 95% CI: 4.93–8.61) than those who had a severe pneumonia or non-severe pneumonia at the time of admission ( Table 3 , Model 1), and sex of the child was borderline significant (P = 0.05).

Results Immune Priming and Serratia Marcescens Infections For Experiment 1 ( Figure 1A, B ), the minimal model indicated a marginally non-significant interaction between aphid genotype, pre-exposure, and infection treatment upon second challenge (p = 0.05), which is reflected by the somewhat different responses of the two aphid genotypes (5A0, LSR1) to pre-exposure and subsequent live bacterial challenge ( Figure 1A,B ).
3B , in the regions activated during Middle minus End trials, the contrast M-S minus M-L did not reveal significant signal difference in the parahippocampal region (PHC), but revealed marginally significant signal increase in the left lateral parietal region (IPL1) (t(71) = 2.6, P <0.05).
