In addition, a recently published analysis from the DONALD (Dortmund Nutrition and Anthropometric Longitudinally Designed) study found a positive trend between urinary sodium excretion and increase in body weight and body fat percentage, among 364 children and adolescents [2] .
In addition to this, we found a significant trend towards increased height, weight- and lean mass status at baseline and follow-up with increased salt consumption and a significant trend between salt consumption and an increased intake of energy from all macronutrients.
The potential amount of inorganic N released to the soil by a typical colony of 20,000 bees foraging in an area similar to that of the experimental cages (3.24 m 2 ) was estimated at 0.62 to 0.74 g N m −2 month −1 which may be significant at a community scale in terms of soil microbial activity and plant growth.
Of note, for the four SNPs that were significant or marginally significant in the meta-analysis of our SNPs ( Table 4 ), two were available in the PGC dataset including SNP rs2616591 that had a small p value (1.68×10 −3 ).
HCV positivity was higher among individuals reporting receiving HCV information from multiple sources, however, the association was either not significant or borderline significant with limited epidemiological relevance ( Table 1 ).
There was a decreasing trend of some risk behaviors from baseline to the 12-month follow-up, but not between 12 and 18 months, suggesting waning effectiveness of counseling and testing.
This would suggest that the most aggressive forms of MG (Mesenchymal) may be significant targets for virotherapy based on their STAT3 expression [ 19 ].
Gene expression studies using laser capture microdissected airways and parenchyma overall showed a trend to lower levels in older animals and a somewhat lesser response to cigarette smoke in both airways and parenchyma but the differences were usually not marked.
Further, this site-specific migration behaviour suggests that the spatial heterogeneity of favourable habitats in the southern Indian Ocean is not recent, and may be significant in shaping penguin populations’ evolution (and possibly population trend, [17] ).
One can see that there is a strong link between the two ingestion rates since there is highly significant correlation which clearly indicates that the difference in ingestion rates of individuals cannot be explained by random variation of consumption rates for a given specimen in different experiments.
Heaney found a relationship approaching significance for age, but no significant relationships between overall ratings and length of admission or previous hospitalisation.
We use the M G -versus-M M test to filter out false positives, based on that if one or both of the SNPs were marginally significant by chance, then the joint distribution (penetrance) of these markers should follow a multiplicative model.
In later generations of this study, the DOC 1 replicate showed a trend toward lower performance in the same measures of reproduction that contributed most to the earlier collapse of DOC 2.
When analyzed only over the first 9 generations, the differences in the trends in Flipping among Protocols were highly significant when tested against variation between Replicates.
The two axis account for 49% of variation and, although geographical populations are partially resolved, they showed a trend to be clustered into different quadrants, indicating geographical sub-structuring.
Furthermore, when the factors of intron size and distance to the nearest exon are examined independently for both sense and antisense IAP insertions, a clear trend of smaller intron size and shorter ERV-exon distance can be observed for positive ERV insertions regardless of the orientation ( Figure 4A & B ).
