The TOMS (total column) and AIRS (vertical profile) ozone concentration exhibits an increasing trend in the outer tropics and a decreasing trend in mid latitudes, which is in line with the trends in PV inducing equatorward transport and downward mixing of ozone from the midlatitude UT and lower stratosphere during PV intrusions.
Excerpts
A value of p < 0.05 was considered significant, and p < 0.01 was considered highly significant.
However, a search in the Conserved Domain (CD) database 20 revealed a marginally significant similarity (E = 8 × 10 −3 ) between an open reading frame (ORF) encoding a 29 amino acids peptide and the faecalis plasmid stabilization toxin (Fst) domain.
Thus, gut bacterial translocation to the blood might play important roles in chronic low-grade inflammation in obesity and diabetes, and as such our main finding that probiotics reduced the counts of live gut bacteria in the blood is considered to be highly significant.
Indeed, there was a highly significant increase in Hsp104 gene expression seen with ectopic GRα, both at 30 °C, and at 39 °C (Fig. 4B ).
Many other countries, such as India 32 , Northern Israel 33 , Scotland 34 , and Korea 35 , have also witnessed an increasing trend in childhood overweight and obesity.
a clear trendgold
The MTT technique applied in this work has demonstrated a clear trend, thus definitely supporting our major findings that we believe should be demonstrated to the community due to their importance.
Lowest GUS expression level was recorded for pPeXET588 fragment which showed a decreasing trend of expression in roots stems and leaves, respectively.
Densitometric quantification confirmed that secretion of the 216C and 163R mutant proteins is greatly reduced, as with the lysates, with highly significant reductions in the amount of C1QTNF5 detected in the conditioned media from transfected cells (Fig. 6e,g ).
a negative trendgold
In addition, there was a negative trend between vasodilatory responses of human uterine arteries to estrogenic compounds and aging (Fig. 6D and F ).
GATA-, basic-leucine zipper, and myb-like transcription factors along with transcription activators of gluconeogenesis were down-regulated while, among others, nfx1-type zinc finger-containing proteins, the transcriptional regulator cudA , isoforms of the general transcriptional corepressor tupA , and isoforms of the transcription factor Dp-1 were up-regulated in a highly significant manner (Fig. 5 ).
a strong trendgold
Second, we observed a strong trend toward smaller LTP magnitudes in vHC slices from aSI rats relative to aGH rats.
Short-term plasticity experiments showed a trend toward lower paired pulse ratios in vHC slices (Fig. 6B ; aGH dHC: n = 20 slices, 14 rats; aGH vHC: n = 22 slices, 14 rats), with statistically significant differences at the 75 ms (aGH dHC: 1.53 ± 0.037; aGH vHC: 1.41 ± 0.038; t(40) = 2.30, p = 0.027, Student’s t-test) and 300 ms (aGH dHC: 1.20 ± 0.023; aGH vHC: 1.12 ± 0.024; t(40) = 2.37, p = 0.023, Student’s t-test) interstimulus intervals.
an overall trendgold
Within both aGH and aSI groups, our evaluation of short-term plasticity revealed an overall trend toward lower paired pulse ratios in vHC slices compared to dHC slices, with statistically significant differences at several interstimulus intervals.
a positive trendgold
8 provided modeling evidence that the AAO exhibits a positive trend under increasing atmospheric CO 2 concentration, but a reversed trend during the subsequent CO 2 stabilization period.
3 where all segments showed a decreasing trend in RMSE and an increasing trend in r v across the practice blocks.
Additionally, a second run of fractal calculations were done using TEM-2D images, from which fractal values show a decreasing trend with the cobalt presence, with values of D P (25.0%), D B (5.3%), D I (17.0%) and D M (16.0%) as well as when using scanning electron images with values of D P (34.7%), D B (28.0%), D I (23.4%) and D M (1.9%).
There was an increasing trend in c-Jun expression at 8 h post kainate injection, but this trend did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 8b,c ).
We used single-locus (SL)-GWAS approach using EMMAX for association analysis where Bonferroni corrected P-values with −log 10 P > 5 were used as a threshold criterion to fetch moderate to highly significant loci.
Hemocyte concentration tended to decrease after the immune challenge, but this effect was marginally significant (Table 3 ).
Both genes reach their high abundance at early stage (D0 and D3) and then show an increasing trend after tidal action at D12 and D32 (Fig. 5C and D ).
Thereafter, although the gravel beach is periodically affected by tidal action with fresh inputs of spilled oil, the residue oils, depending on the time sequence, exhibited full depletion of n -alkanes, a decreasing trend for isoprenoids, and no discernible changes in saturated biomarker distributions ( e . g ., steranes, hopanes; Supplementary Fig.
The two-sided paired, unpaired or the one-sample t-test were used for statistical analysis and a p-value < 0.05 was deemed statistically significant, while a p-value < 0.01 was considered highly significant.
Because of the almost significant item type by electrode interaction for the second time-window, we performed post-hoc LSD tests and found that illegal words elicited larger positive ERP component than legal words over the 8 fronto-central electrodes (Fp1, Fp2, F3, Fz, F4, C3, Cz, C4; all P’s < 0.01).
These results were confirmed by a marginally significant correlation with the language subscale score of the BSID-III (r(11) = 0.51, P FDR = 0.14; see Fig. 4 ) in the melodically enriched condition and not in the flat contour one.
