Of the different types of hip fractures, extracapsular fractures such as basicervical neck of femur fractures and intertrochanteric (IT) fractures are thought to be the most associated with falls from a standing height in elderly patients who have osteoporosis 4 . Currently there is an increasing trend towards the using a cephalomedullary device (CMD) to manage both stable and unstable extracapsular hip fractures (EHFs) as these nails act as an intramedullary buttress to prevent excessive shaft medialization 5 – 7 .

Although arginine added individually to the scented food showed a positive trend in the incoming rates of foragers after 24 h, this treatment did not differ significantly from the control.
However, the highly significant differences in the nose-poke—lever-press discrimination paradigm may have distorted the results (when other variables are added to an NP-LP variable the difference in the latter is high enough to pull the others with it), therefore, we repeated the MANOVA in the 3 variable groups excluding the NP-LP parameters.
This deviation resulted in marginally significant difference between the groups in the later trials of the treatment period.
After transfusion, both StO 2 and BIS showed an increasing trend; however, some cases showed a decreasing trend.
Moreover, a highly significant variation in accession responses to CaMV infection and WD was found (Figs. 1 , 2 ), as indicated by a significant interactive effect between accession and inoculation, and between accession and watering (Supplementary Table S3 ; P = 0.013 and P = 0.021, respectively).
Due to high collinearity between water depth and distance to shore (r = 0.74, p < 0.001), distance to shore was excluded from model building, though it was highly significant in univariate regression.
For all cases, the calculated t-test statistics were highly significant which confirm the UCS, PLI, I d2 , γ n , G s(c) , WA, and n of limestone in the study area can be reliably estimated using the proposed correlation equations.
In addition, the 30-s STS test narrowly missed achieving significance in the strength group.
a positive trendgold
Our findings showed that there were significant improvements in the positive symptoms at 16 weeks in the aerobic and strength intervention groups (with small to moderate effect sizes) and showed a positive trend in the mixed intervention group.
The PANSS-P scores also improved in the aerobic and strength groups ( P ≤ 0.005, η p 2 > 0.07), and showed a trend towards improvement in the mixed group (η p 2 > 0.04), but also got worse at the 10-month follow-up.
The performance differences are quite significant: the average maximum in-band matching is better by 1.5 dB when using absolute versus relative sizing, whereas relative parameterization leads to size reduction better by 25 mm 2 (or about ten percent) as compared to the absolute one (again, when averaged over all algorithm runs and all considered antenna structures).
a clear trendgold
S4 ) did not show a clear trend throughout the water column.
The correlation between the matrix of F ST / (1− F ST ) values and the matrix of natural logarithms of geographic distances (in km) between the analyzed populations was r = 0.510 and was highly significant ( P Mantel < 0.0001).
high fibre) a significant trend was observed for perirenal fat content to be higher in low versus high-RFI pigs when using high-fibre, high-fat diets whereas the opposite was observed with low-fibre, low-fat diets 55 .
And when the AAV vector has been used to express Cas9 in a liver-humanized mouse model, there has been highly significant improvement 29 – 35 .
a negative trendgold
The increased AT1R levels after LOS treatment could be due to either a negative trend or non-responsiveness to LOS treatment at the given dose.
a positive trendgold
We observed a positive trend between AT2R and ACE2 levels (Fig. 4 B), suggesting the activation of AT2R after LOS treatment.
Markedly, the term “mitochondrion” was highly significant (adj. p-value: 1.5E − 132) in healthy ventricles, while in diseased hearts the term was much less significant (adj. p-value: 4.77E − 05) and even present in the atrium (adj. p-value: 1.07E − 07) (Fig. 5 b and Supplementary Table 3 ).
Also the linear model finds “B+” important, at a 0.01 significance level, but doesn’t find the other features significant except for “Cardiovascular death rate” in June, while the overall multivariate linear model is highly significant with an R-squared ranging between 0.29 and 0.32 (see Table 5 ).
However, reperfusional maximum postcapillary venous oxygen saturation showed a trend for correlation with CI, an observation not explained by respective changes of the other microcirculatory parameters.
In contrast, an increasing trend was found in a Dutch pediatric study (1990–2015) 36 and in Canada (1992–2010) 29 and US from 2009 to 2010 25 in the general population, the latter mainly attributed to changes in the registration of transformations in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program.
a positive trendgold
Comparing the F g in the AIS in 1961 with that in 2006, we identified a positive trend in F g (− 6 ± 2.2‰ to − 1 ± 0.4‰) from 1961 to 2006 (Fig. 2 c), implying that ice shelf freezing has been weakened, which may be related to mCDW intrusion 31 , 32 .
Mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, then increasing and then decreasing again with the increase of glucose concentration.
The level of agreement between PBQ and milk qPCR was estimated fairly significant by 63.41% (kappa = 0.2581, 95% CI = 0.0083 to 0.508) compared to 31.7% and 4.8% that were just PBQ-positive and milk qPCR-positive respectively.
