The OS in HCC patients with higher expression of Globo H (mean: 89.9, 95% CI: 77.3–102.5 months) was also shorter than those with lower expression of Globo H, albeit with borderline significance (mean: 112.3, 95% CI: 105.7–118.9 months; p = 0.05) [ Fig. 2 B].
The analysis showed a higher risk of developing OP (OR = 1.81, 95% CI 0.99–3.31) in carriers of the homozygous variant (A/A) or heterozygous (G/A) genotypes of the rs11568820 ( Cdx2 ) polymorphism, although with a borderline significance ( p = 0.05).
However, when adjusting for covariates, none of the cohorts of interest were associated with having a statistically significant difference in ADL difficulty, although borderline significance was seen for having stage III/IV difficulty when comparing nAMD vs control (OR, 0.74; 95% CI, 0.54-1.00; P < .05) ( Figure 2 ).
PCT and LDH associations were also reported in other studies ( 21 , 27 , 28 ). Although lymphopenia (<800/mm 3 ) and C-reactive protein (CRP) (≥30 mg/dL) remained in the model, they had borderline significance ( p =0.05 for both).
The rates of HAZ ≤ −2 were 8.8%, 24.1%, and 25%, respectively, with borderline significance ( P = 0.05) (Table 3 ).
The pasting temperatures did not significantly differ between WRM and WRM:WF (borderline significance, p = 0.05), indicating that from 50% of whole rye meal, the pasting temperature of the blends remained more or less the same.
However, subgroup analysis of studies with a case number > 100 showed borderline significance (OR = 0.68, 95% CI: 0.45-1.01, P = 0.050).
On Cox regression, LVH showed borderline significance for independent association with all-cause mortality (hazard ratio 1.57, 95% CI 1.01–2.44, P = 0.05) after adjustment for age (predictive of death with hazard ratio 1.09, 95% CI 1.07–1.11, P < 0.005) and sex (predictive of death with hazard ratio 1.68, 95% CI 1.19–2.38, P < 0.005) (Fig. 1 ).
The association between MetS and cigarette smoking showed borderline significance ( p = 0.05), whereby 68.8% of smokers and 51.1% of current smokers had MetS compared with 39.9% of nonsmokers.
The patient-reported ipsilateral VAS pain score was correlated with non-dominant knee medial compartment SBCs in borderline significance (r: 0.283, P: 0.051), but not with non-dominant lateral SBCs (P > 0.05).
A negative correlation was observed for eHbA1c and total daily and mild hypoglycemic events (r=−0.57 and r=−0.66, respectively, p<0.0001), whereas for serious hypoglycemic events there was only a borderline significance (r=−0.13, p=0.05).
In our cohort, Guzik’s index was slightly lower in PoAF patients, but this difference had only borderline significance (p = 0.05).
Moreover, in the multivariate analysis, the time to intervention reached only borderline significance with an OR of 0.97 (95% CI 0.95–0.99) and p = 0.05.
Compared with the patients who died, most muscle parameters were statistically significantly higher in the surviving patients, except for G.med/min muscle area, which had borderline significance ( P = 0.05).
Percentage predicted diffusing capacity of the lung for carbon monoxide ( D LCO ) was also relatively lower in the former with borderline significance (59.25±16.28 versus 66.08±13.67; p=0.05).
Male volunteers had a higher willingness to respond, but this difference had borderline significance ( P =.05).
Borderline significance (to indicate the directionality of a pathway) was set at nominal P values <0.05 and an FDR <0.25.
However, in a meta-analysis of 17,330 participants for periodontal disease and carotid atherosclerosis, subgroup analysis of adjusted DM showed only borderline significance (OR: 1.08; 95% CI [1.00–1.18]; p = 0.05) ( Whayne, 2017 ), making the relationship even more confusing.
Other symptoms had borderline significance (p = 0.05) at different points during follow-up: cough and diarrhea were more prevalent among welders while control participants reported more tiredness.
Only 9.4% of individuals had already been diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to the infection that caused hospitalization, with no significant difference with the presence of post-COVID-19 syndrome 6 and 12 months after hospital discharge. However, among patients who were hospitalized due to recurrent COVID-19 infection, 64.7% had three or more symptoms after six months versus 34.4% of patients who had been hospitalized due to the first infection, with a borderline significance level (p-value = 0.05); but this difference was not observed 12 months after discharge.
A shorter TSD was associated with increased node positivity with a borderline significance ( p = 0.05).
This difference showed borderline significance (χ 2 (1, n =79) = 3.97, p = 0.05).
After dividing the patients based on whether they were older than 50, the results showed borderline significance in older patients ( P =0.050).
Mouth and lung GVHD were more frequent in haploidentical transplantation, with a borderline significance level (p=0.05 and p=0.07, respectively).
However, there was a borderline significance increase in IDegAsp requirement for the whole group at the two-year follow-up ( p = 0.05).
