In addition, mice vaccinated with either peptide 2 or peptide 4 VLPs showed a trend toward reduced dermonecrosis (ulcer area) on days 2 and 3 post-infection, although this did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 3C ).

With regard to effects on physical activity (PA), although the 9.7% increase in the PAQ score over the course of the program may be interpreted as a positive trend, it did not reach statistical significance.

In this study, glycopyrronium showed a trend towards reduction in the risk of exacerbation both in terms of rate and time to first moderate and severe COPD exacerbations, although this finding did not reach statistical significance.

Changes in CD4 cell counts were similar between DTG and RAL at week 48; however, there was a favorable trend toward DTG in patients with baseline CD4 cell counts less than 350 and less than 200 cells/mm 3 (86% vs 80% and 78% vs 68%, respectively) but it did not reach statistical significance.

The results showed a trend toward better outcomes in the triweekly group, but the differences between the groups did not reach statistical significance.

Although MPEP-treated B6 mice also showed a trend toward improved performance relative to saline-treated B6 mice at 4 weeks, this difference did not reach statistical significance ( Table 1 ).

The levels of Cr/PCr, acetate and glutamate showed a trend towards an increase, while myo-inositol showed a trend towards a decrease in CAL R compared with CAL S tumours but these effects did not reach statistical significance. 31 P NMR analysis of CAL S and CAL R tumour extracts corroborated the elevation in GPC and PCr levels and additionally revealed a rise in glycerophosphoethanolamine (GPE) and a fall in phosphoethanolamine (PE) levels in CAL R relative to CAL S tumours ( Table 1 and Figure 2C ).

Simvastatin 20 mg showed a trend towards higher efficacy in lowering LDL cholesterol concentrations as compared with pitavastatin 2 mg, although the difference did not reach statistical significance (mean difference 2.19; 95% confidence interval −0.11, 4.49; P =0.06).

Although, values showed an increasing trend across the age groups, differences did not reach statistical significance (Figure 2 ).

Improvements in depression factor scores versus placebo showed a trend for improvement for aripiprazole at week 3 (study endpoint), but the changes did not reach statistical significance (Figure 2 ).

N -CBT alone showed a trend toward increased basal lipolysis, which did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 7C ).

While these increases did not reach statistical significance, the data present a clear trend toward increased immunogenicity.

After 12 h of treatment with 0.2 μM of LLL12, SCCF2 showed a trend towards increased caspase 3/7 activity (data not shown), but this difference did not reach statistical significance until 24 h of treatment.

Although the difference did not reach statistical significance, 28-day survival showed a positive trend in the treatment group also.

In particular PD patients showed higher values of total SD of body sway during OE ( p = 0.005) ( Figure 2 ) and OEC ( p = 0.020) and along the ML axis with OE ( p = 0.019) ( Figure 3 ), while values along the ML axis in the OEC condition showed a trend toward higher values, but the difference did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.172).

There was also an increasing trend in left ventricular internal diameter during diastole (LVIDd) from 36.2 ± 2.8 mm prior to infarction to 38.7 ± 2.9 mm and 40.9 ± 5.4 mm following infarction and at 8-weeks respectively (Figure 3 b), though this parameter did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.15).

In addition to an increased occurrence of hypertension, patients with the variant allele in IL8 rs1126647A>T showed a trend towards improved PFS/OS (22 vs 14 months for median PFS and 40 vs 25 months for median OS), although the differences between groups did not reach statistical significance.

Although there was a slight trend towards greater microglial activation in the lesioned striatum of PLP-α-syn as compared to control mice, the difference did not reach statistical significance in terms of OD CD11b .

The DTI score, which quantifies the number of VPs per investigated surface area, showed a trend toward higher mean values in the carriers of FLG mutations compared with FLG wild-type subjects at week 0 (427.0 and 336.2, respectively) and after 6 weeks of therapy (296.6 and 224.3, respectively), although the differences did not reach statistical significance (data not shown).

Age only showed borderline significance in women, and diabetes did not reach statistical significance.

The level of APLP1β27 showed a trend towards decreased levels in a dose-dependent manner in response to treatment but it did not reach statistical significance for either of the doses (Fig. 4f ).

Interestingly, 5 out of 8 patients showed a trend of increasing in Dll4 expression but the difference did not reach statistical significance ( Fig 7C ).

There was a clear trend of enhancement of its effect in BKO islets (calculated as the difference of Carb effect on the top of 16 mM glucose in BKO vs control islets) but it did not reach statistical significance (p < 0.1) ( Figure 2 E).

ADC values of these regions showed a positive trend, but did not reach statistical significance.

Finally, the counts of lymphocytes and white blood cells showed a slight trend to diminution, but the final effect with this limited number of subjects did not reach statistical significance ( Fig 4C ).
