Compared to the Control group, mice in the Antibiotics-only group showed a trend toward increased levels of albumin and MMP9 in the hippocampus, although these changes did not reach statistical significance (Supplementary Fig. 1H ).

In the combined GH+GnRH treatment, a decreasing trend was noted, though it did not reach statistical significance compared to the SNT group.

In the primary model adjusted for age, duration of surgery, and urgency of procedure (elective vs emergency), the SAS showed a trend toward association with major postoperative complications, although this did not reach statistical significance.

Although the differences in VAS and Lysholm scores between the two groups did not reach statistical significance after four weeks of intervention, the effect size analysis and percentage changes indicate a clear trend toward functional improvement in favor of LL-BFRT.

In this cohort, DLRT showed a trend towards better survival than CLSLRT in RLD patient undergoing lung retransplantation for BOS, although this did not reach statistical significance.

Co-localization of BNIP3, BNIP3L and phospho-BNIP3L with mitochondria basally showed a trend toward being reduced, however, due to large variability between both controls and patients this did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 5 and Supplementary Figure 6 ).

Notably, the low-dose rhCol III group (5 μg/mL) showed a trend toward reduced ROS fluorescence but did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.0554), which may reflect a smaller effect size at low exposure, limited statistical power, and the known methodological limitations and sensitivity of commonly used fluorescent probes ( 68 , 69 ).

ACT scores showed a favorable trend in both groups, with a medium between-group effect size favoring the intervention (d = 0.42), although this did not reach statistical significance.

Although there was a positive trend between higher accumulation and higher silencing efficacy, the observed correlation did not reach statistical significance.

Concerning the intra-group analysis, although the EBWG showed a trend towards improvement in overall VAS, the difference between T0 and T2 did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.074).

Our longitudinal study found that BRI did not reach statistical significance, although it approached significance, indicating that BRI may not be a reliable predictor of CKD progression.

In contrast, although a decreasing trend in spheroid area was observed in the H2452 and 211H cell lines, these changes did not reach statistical significance (Figure 9 ). 4 Discussion This study demonstrated that inhibition of VPS34 by SAR405 significantly suppressed cell viability in pleural mesothelioma cell lines.

The likelihood of discussing menstrual issues with healthcare workers showed a positive trend toward better knowledge, though this association approached but did not reach statistical significance (OR = 1.7, 95% CI: 0.9–3.1, p = 0.065).

Although some markers did not reach statistical significance, SOF10 showed a trend toward suppressing TGF-β downstream targets Serpine1 , Col1a1 , and Col3a1 (Fig. 3d ).

Similarly, while CFU-E colony numbers showed a trend of increase with SRT2104 treatment (no SRT2104, 27.1%±4.7%; SRT2104, 35.7%±8.3%), this difference also did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 4A ).

In the independent GEO cohort GSE39582 , DMBX1 expression showed a trend toward higher levels in colorectal cancer tissues compared with normal mucosa, although the difference did not reach statistical significance (Wilcoxon rank-sum test, p = 0.083).

Sarcoma showed a trend toward an increased risk; however, this association did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.051) (Table 3 ).

Regarding emotional symptoms, we observed a decreasing trend in depressive and anxiety symptoms, although it did not reach statistical significance.

Principal component analysis (PCA) also showed a trend toward spatial separation, indicating molecular heterogeneity between the groups; however, due to limited sample size and within-group variability, the 95% confidence intervals partially overlapped, and the separation did not reach statistical significance ( Figure S7 G ).
