If the same argument holds here, the implication would be that a high proportion of the corkscrew injuries observed globally are likely to have been due to grey seal predation events and the population consequences of this behaviour may be significant.

Also during peak biomass, the naturalized exotic growing alone had significantly greater root mass under high N ( Fig 4F ), and communities with the native and invasive exotic growing together had greater root mass under high N although this was only marginally significant for the native (Figs 3F and 5F ).

HYSPLIT model simulation estimates a deposition maximum near the sources (of about 2.5 kg/ha/yr), and a decreasing trend from the emission area outwards, except for the relative secondary maximum modeled over the mountain ranges in southern Bolivia and northern Argentina due to an orographic effect.

The introduction of PCR in 2007 (in the Sofia area) and the evolution of the serology tests from 2006 to 2009 ( Table 2 ), moving from passive hemagglutination test, immunofluorescence and culture to PCR and more quantitative serological ELISA tests, also appear to coincide with a decreasing trend in the incidence of reported pertussis.

A clear trend of increased percentage of cases with increasing risk score is observed.

All of the RF models in this study showed an overall trend of underestimation above the mean and overestimation below the mean ( Fig 2 ) because the marginal yield points were either underestimated or overestimated.

The partial dependence plot for YR illustrates a clear trend of yield increase (approx. 2.5 tons/ha) over the 30 year period in US maize ( Fig 3B ); this increase was accounted for by year only and not other factors included in the model.

Discussion We found that the mating tactic performed by a male crab as a female approaches his burrow has a significant effect on the probability that the female will enter the burrow and a marginally significant effect on whether she will remain in the burrow to mate.
