In the pT3 tumors, the 5-year overall survival rate was 26.5% for the pN3a tumors (n = 106) and 17.1% for the pN3b tumors (n = 79); this difference was not significant ( P = 0.110), although the survival curves showed a trend for better survival with pN3a tumors than with pN3b tumors ( S1 Fig ).
Excerpts
Altitudinal changes in species richness and abundance of soil microfauna Total richness and abundance of rotifers and nematodes showed a significant unimodal response in Tso Moriri with a mid-elevation peak, while in Zanskar only nematodes exhibited a marginally significant unimodal abundance response ( Fig 3 ).
Here, archaeobotanical finds suggest an increasing trend of cultivation from the 9 th to the 7 th century BC [ 3 ].
Although a significant trend was not present, we speculated that a short duration of high fat intake could explain this observation.
The number of CPE cases/year was low (2–14 cases/year), but an increasing trend was observed.
a marked trendgold
Diversity showed slight differences with depth but differed from the pattern exhibited in the “old” areas of the Potter Cove, and in the majority of Antarctic coastal areas, where a marked trend of diversity increment with increasing depth was reported [ 50 , 62 – 65 ].
Sex showed a trend level effect (see Table 4 ).

The characteristic mortality profile of these sites is catastrophic, as determined by the age and sex of the individuals represented, with a strong trend toward seasonal or synchronous death [ 25 ].
There was a significant trend of increasing percentage of men testing positive for p16/Ki67 immunostaining with increasing histologic severity of disease, from 23% of men without dysplasia to 41% for men with HSIL (P trend = 0.004).
Since there were too many aggression variables to include altogether in the regression analysis, only variables were included that correlated significantly to threshold scores of the emotion perception task or approached significance.
In line with women, men also showed a trend towards higher IR, leptin and TNF-α with depressive symptoms but within this cohort this did not reach significance ( Table 4 ).
For AM and FOESM, the average prediction accuracies of different time periods exhibit a decreasing trend and fluctuate around 0.5.
In FcγRIIB -/- yaa mice, the activity index has highly significant correlations with IEM-evaluated glomerular disease features, proteinuria and anti-dsDNA antibody titer We used correlation analysis to identify the strongest factors having impact on lupus nephritis progression in FcγRIIB -/- yaa.
Its average value increased with stage in grade 1 tumors, then it stayed relatively unchanged for grade 2, followed by a decreasing trend with stage for grade 3 tumors.
In addition to sexual signalling pattern, sexual signalling rates of males (as a ratio of males of the two contrasting diet regimes, Fig 3 ) exposed to the mixture of compounds follow an increasing trend in relation to age, with a discrete peak in day 8 of their adult life.
Neither YOY nor older fish showed a significant trend in abundance over time, but did show substantial year-to-year variability—annual YOY density had a coefficient of variation of 46%.
One result of riparian restoration has been a denser riparian tree canopy, accompanied by a decreasing trend in river temperature ( Fig 8 ).
Refugees with PTSD had higher BDI scores with a trend toward significance.
In contrast, the long trips ( r 6 ) experience a decreasing trend to its lowest percentage on Tuesday (2.18%) compared with the increasing trend from Monday to Friday under normal circumstances.
The correlations between ICU-11 scores and aggression measures were moderately significant, with the strongest associations emerging between proactive aggression and the callousness factor.
Patients who received TDF-/rbPI have also a higher risk of CKD though marginally significant.
With homogeneous spatial distributions of all aspects, although we observe nearly significant impacts, but not quite at p levels of 0.05.
Although sample sizes were small, they did provide adequate statistical power to detect highly significant within-subject changes and between-group differences.
A Wilcoxon signed-rank test for paired samples to compare the average microbiomes in the anterior nares and nasopharynx across the eight time points revealed no difference; only one of the eight tested sampled time points (S12, the second visit in the first quarter) showed a marginally significant difference ( Fig 3 ).
Meanwhile, surrogate statistical testing was performed by permuting data labels across the 4 x 2 design, again generating clusters of quasi-significant pixels using an uncorrected 0.001 < p threshold, and the summed F-value mass of each such quasi-cluster was entered into a surrogate cluster mass distribution.
