Seventeen metabolites had a nominally significant change in plasma levels upon atenolol treatment; nine changed significantly in the complete dataset after considering false discovery rate ( Table 3 ) seven of which were fatty acids.
Excerpts
The sugar alcohol threitol and the essential amino acid threonine (marginal significance) were also reduced upon atenolol treatment in the combined dataset.
Although the bipartition’s association with overall survival showed a trend and did not reach conventional statistical significance, the signature was significantly prognostic in subsequent analyses when the sample size was larger (see below).
We obtained a highly significant cis -eQTL (LRT = 145.24) at position 4,540,424, i.e. within the 95% confidence interval of the IgA QTL (eighth colostrum) and within the body of the PIGR gene ( Fig. 3A ).
For both all-cause and cancer mortality, there was a highly significant trend of increasing mortality with increasing intensity of tobacco consumption.
a positive trendgold
One group, however, reported a positive trend between higher serum phosphorus levels and an increased risk of mortality and CVD events during a 5-year follow-up period in patients with a previous myocardial infarction [10] .
Although neither adjusted nor unadjusted group showed a significant association between the use of aspirin and risk of AMD, the heterogeneity in the unadjusted group was quite significant.
Of these five SNPs, only SFRP3 SNP rs7775 was in the exonic region that codes for either arginine (Arg) or glycine (Gly) amino acid and was highly significant even after Bonferroni's correction.
The fact that significant between-study heterogeneity in allelic association and marginal significance in genotypic association across the 10 studies might support our perspective.
When I simultaneously assessed the effect of age and wing chord on consistency, the age effect remained highly significant while wing chord did not (not shown).
Whether this variation across personality traits is an important trend in small-scale societies or random error will be better understood with future research in traditional societies.
Adjusted, multivariable modelling further revealed that older age at treatment start (HR 0.79 per 10 years, p<0.000) was an independent predictor of treatment persistence, and an EDSS of 3.0–5.5 as compared to an EDSS of zero approached significance as an independent predictor of treatment discontinuation ( Figure 1b ).
Even employing the conservative multiple-comparisons adjustments (Bonferroni correction), session 3 performance for EC-AT remains significantly higher than for NC while the difference in session 4 is trending toward significance.
NSE-apoE4 mice showed a trend toward decreased total dendrite length in the CA1 ( Fig. 1D ) compared to NSE-apoE3 mice, and basal NSE-apoE4 dendrites were significantly shorter than basal NSE-apoE3 dendrites ( Fig. 1E ).
Sex-bias direction (males: F 2,3398 = 8.92, P = 0.0002; females: F 2,3398 = 17.36, P<0.0001), expression rank (males: F 2,3398 = 1308, P<0.0001; females: F 2,3398 = 1305, P<0.0001), and their interaction (males: F 4,3398 = 6.22, P<0.0001; females: F 4,3398 = 5.26, P = 0.0003) were highly significant.
Of the five virtual drugs with highly significant p values, four involved an AMPA τ 2 effect.
There was also a significant trend for higher retention in younger versus older age groups; the highest retention was found in 5–9 year olds (91.7%) and the lowest in 25–29 year olds (74.7%).
an overall trendgold
There was an overall trend toward slightly lower activities following longer incubation times and slightly higher activity with KDEL tagged antibodies compared to non-KDEL tagged antibodies.
Several studies from the early years of 2000 showed an alarming prevalence of DRMs to the three main antiretroviral drug classes [2] – [4] , but more recently a decreasing trend has been reported from many countries [5] – [9] .
None of the analyzed data definitively rejected the molecular clock ( Table 1 ), though the Sus data p-value was close to significance.
The Mus and Sus data significantly support the use of a more complex model of nucleotide evolution while others are borderline non-significant ( Orcinus and Canis ).
In the aggregated data ( Table 4 ) we find a nominally significant association of COL8A1 and NRXN1 rearrangements with TS (p-values of 0.004 and 0.03 respectively).
Combined treatment with CsA and hATMSCs did not prevent these effects and showed a trend toward further renal deterioration.
Tajima’s D test for individual parasite populations from the GMS only detected marginally significant departures from neutrality in two populations ( Table 3 ).
The high Φ ST values obtained from comparing the South American population with populations from other continents (0.540–0.663) were highly significant even after Bonferroni corrections.
