Effect of trichlormethiazide on HRQOL The subscale of the effects of kidney disease, which represent the impact of kidney disease on patients’ daily lives, was significantly higher, whereas that of sleep was higher with borderline significance during antihypertensive treatment with trichlormethiazide than that without trichlormethiazide ( P = 0.02 and 0.07, respectively) among the subscales of Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQOL), kidney disease-specific measure of HRQOL (see Table 3 ).

A significant trend in the Bland-Altman plots was observed for the Gd concentration estimates (p = 0.02) but not for the Dy concentration estimates (p = 0.56).

One-way ANOVA comparing scores between each odour group indicated no significant differences in LSAS on day 1 (pre-treatment) and SOS scores, whereas marginally significant differences in age were recorded, with Holm corrected post-hoc tests indicating a difference between the fear and clean air condition ( p = 0.02).

Concerning CF, only the AER+R group showed a marginally significant improvement (Z = − 2.331 p -value = 0.02; r = − 0.549).

The correlation approached statistical significance (p < 0.06) for the subset of genes (n = 13) that were assessed on day 6 post-infection and there was a highly significant correlation (p < 0.02) for the subset of genes (n = 10) evaluated on day 8 post-infection.

Conversely, among LMW metabolites, formate and acetate showed a significant trend towards increase in cord blood of FGR fetuses (p = 0.02 and 0.01, respectively) (Table 3 ).

We observed a decreasing trend of fluoroquinolone prescription in hospitals (τ = − 0.52, p = 0.02) and clinics (τ = − 0.94, p < 0.01) (Fig. 1 , Supplementary Table 1 ).

The main effect of Singer was small and marginally significant, F(1,64) = 5.8, p < 0.02, η 2 p = 0.08.

FUT status and growth indicators Delta changes in WLZ were significantly higher in Lewis positive compared to Lewis negative children and delta change in WAZ were also marginally significant and higher in Lewis positive children ( p = 0.02 and 0.07, respectively).

In contrast to EWL, for which only a positive trend could be observed (Fig. 3 D), total weight loss significantly correlated with urinary oxalate levels in the total cohort (r = − 0.3; p = 0.02) (Fig. 3 E).

2 D) also increases over time, where again the change is dramatic in the PANC1 + MRC5 AOCs (increase in mean size of about 4 times in 24 h, p < 0.01) and less so in the PANC1 + PSC AOCs (factor of 1.8 increase with modest significance of p = 0.02 over the same time period).

The mothers of the embryos are mostly of European origin (87%) and their median age at the date of collection was 36.7 ± 5.9 years, with slightly significant higher age in recurrent cases compared to first ones (Fig. 1 , Mann–Whitney p-value = 0.02).

We also found that while there was only a slight trend towards a higher platelet count in smokers (Fig S3), the plateletcrit (Pct, i.e., total platelet mass) was significantly ( p = 0.02) elevated in smokers (bottom right panel, Fig. 5 ).

In contrast, consistent with our hypothesis, the NR2B overexpression LMAN group exhibited dramatically lower group mean scores of consistency and stereotopy, and a strong trend for linearity (significant with the outlier Purple364 removed, p = 0.02, paired Wilcoxon signed rank test; Fig. 6a–c ).

Moderate deficiency (10–20) showed a strong trend toward worse OS that narrowly missed significance. Liver metastasis was independently associated with significantly worse OS (adjusted HR 1.42, 95% CI 1.06–1.91, p = 0.02), consistent with published literature where HRs for liver metastasis typically range from 1.4 to 2.0.

However, the values of D* and F* were highly significant ( P < 0.02).

When the factor loadings were forced to be invariant across the 3 nicotine doses, the change of χ 2 was insignificant for the positive factors (Δ χ 2 10.5, Δ DF 29, p = 0.9993), and the change of χ 2 was nominally significant (Δ χ 2 32.2, Δ DF 18, p = 0.0208) for the negative factors.

The association with caries was less strong, but the proportions caries-affected participants tended to differ between the allele variant groups (p = 0.054) with a significant trend (p = 0.021), whereas caries prevalence (DeFS) did not differ between the groups though the trend did (p = 0.018).

The statistical analysis confirms that this result is highly significant ( p = 0.0216) and not attributable to random variation.

In PVF, we observed a statistical difference in the number of switches, and in SVF, MCI-NC showed a trend toward producing more switches ( p = 0.022 and p = 0.065, respectively; Table 3 ).

This was found to be highly significant (p = 0.022), indicating that the painted surfaces remain antimicrobial following leaching, which is supported by the other data obtained in this study, demonstrating that CHX remains within the epoxy resin.

Three of the compared definitions showed a nominally significant association between dry skin and keratoconus ( P = 0.022, P = 0.012 and P = 0.004), with the remaining definitions showing concordant effect direction.

Regression analysis using chi square test confirmed a highly significant correlation between loss of CD1A protein expression (< 1%) and occurrence of an early post-surgical relapse ( p = 0.0226 for tumor cells and p = 0.0012 for immune cells).

Cerebellar lesions were more commonly found in the OCB-positive group, which demonstrated a trend towards significance (24% vs. 3%, p = 0.023 and 0.057 before and after adjusting for disease duration).

Figure 2 A shows a slightly significant difference in the accessory genome size in favor of C. hyointestinalis subsp. hyointestinalis (p = 0.023, Mann–Whitney U test).
