The MHC-I protein level showed a trend to downregulation, and the mRNA level was significantly decreased.

A subgroup analysis according to age (75–85 years [n=148] and >85 years [n=38]) showed a trend toward greater improvements in pain control and bowel function in the subgroup aged >85 years ( Figure 4 ).

Using the suggested 3 genes from BestKeeper showed a trend to higher levels of TFB1M in BA 8 from subjects with schizophrenia (Fig. 5d ), NormFinder did not reveal any significant variation with diagnoses in that cortical region (Fig. 5g ) whilst using reference genes suggested by geNorm showed a strong trend to lower levels of NOL9 in subjects with schizophrenia (Fig. 5j ).

Of the protein C SNPs analyzed, the AA genotype of the rs1799810 SNP showed a trend toward increased mortality (26 % vs. 19 %) compared with the TT/AT genotypes, but this trend was not statistically significant ( p = 0.18).

Intraperitoneal insulin tolerance test performed at 12 weeks of age showed a trend toward increased insulin sensitivity in male ( Fig. 3 G ), but not female ( Fig. 3 H ), ΔF508 homo- and heterozygous mutant mice.

Treated mice also showed a trend of reduction of ParaThyroid Hormone (PTH) ( Figure 3f ), decrease of osteoclast number over bone perimeter and osteoclast surface over bone surface ( Figure 3g – i ), and reduction of mRNA expression of osteoclast-specific genes ( Figure 3j ), which are in agreement with the reduced serum levels of TRAcP ( Figure 2d ).

There were no significant differences between WT and PD-1KO mice although the latter group showed a trend for fewer antibody-secreting LLPC ( Fig. 1c ).

Electrocardiogram showed a trend toward increased QT intervals at 90 mg/kg/day groups.

In the current study, wild-type fibroblasts showed a trend towards decrease in the maximal OCR within 30 min of 1 mM PQ treatment which was preserved in the Surf1 −/− fibroblast. t -BuOOH and H 2 O 2 did not result in any changes in basal OCR, maximal respiration, or reserve capacity.
