In the analysis of d-primes in the GNAT, we observed a main effect of name close to significance [ F (1, 8) = 5.150, p = 0.053, ηp 2 = 0.392], with higher sensitivity to German than to Arabic names.

The results are shown in Table 7 , the difference between G0 and G2 is marginally significant ( p = 0.053), and the difference between G0 and the other two layout methods, G1 and G3, is not significant ( p > 0.05); the difference between G1 and G2 Significant ( p = 0.037), the difference between G1 and G3 was not significant ( p = 0.101); the difference between G2 and G3 was not significant ( p = 0.653).

The group main effect approached significance ( F (1,39) = 4.0, p = 0.053) with a tendency for children with dyslexia to make more errors (15.6%) than control readers (10.9%).

In contrast, studies with 4 to <7 sessions showed a smaller, borderline significant effect (SMD = −0.43, 95% CI: −0.86 to 0.01, p = 0.053) and higher heterogeneity ( I 2 = 76.4%).

The interaction between meridian and time condition was marginally significant, F (4, 76) = 2.447, p = 0.053 ( Figure 6 ).

However, although approaching significance, there was no significant effect of PBF on percent VO 2 max at crossover point during the SGET ( P = 0.053).

There was a marginally significant difference between the stimulus groups ( f (2,84) = 3.04, p = 0.053, η p 2 = 0.068).

The results found all associations between variables were similar, except the relationship between sensory attention and self-kindness became positive and significant ( r = 0.142, p = 0.031), whilst the relationship became slightly non-significant between non-judgement awareness and isolation ( r = −0.128, p = 0.053) and overidentification ( r = −0.125, p = 0.057).

Gf had significant influence on Color-Shape mixing cost (β = -0.179, p = 0.05) and the Stroop effect (β = -0.179, p < 0.04), but were also borderline significant for the Simon effect (β = -0.179, p = 0.053), Number-letter switch cost (β = -0.157, p = 0.06), and Color-Shape switch cost (-0.146, p = 0.09).

However, it is important to point out that the amygdala showed a trend of significantly greater indirect connections to both the ACC ( p = 0.053) and the STP ( p = 0.051).

There was a marginally significant effect of ratio, F (2, 104) = 3.02, p = 0.053, The Developing Mental Number Line: Does Its Directionality Relate to 5- to 7-Year-Old Children’s Mathematical Abilities? = 0.055, and a linear contrast analysis revealed a statistically significant linear trend, F (1, 55) = 4.45, p = 0.040, η p 2 = 0.079, such that performance improved as ratio decreased (e.g., better performance for a ratio of 4:7 than 4:5), as expected.

The main effect of Veracity was borderline significant ( F = 4.939, p = 0.053); no other effects reached significance.

The within-family effect was not significant averaging across zygosity (beta = -0.126, p = 0.303), but there was a marginally significant interaction of the within effect by zygosity (beta = 0.468, p = 0.053), such that there is a marginally significant within effect for MZ pairs (simple effect beta = -0.354, p = 0.055) but not DZ pairs (simple effect beta = 0.114, p = 0.469).

The interaction Visual Field × Hand arrangement was not significant: F (1, 26) = 1.121, p = 0.229, while, the Hand × Hand Arrangement interaction was marginally significant F (1, 26) = 4.116, p = 0.053 with the right hand slightly faster (254 ms) than the left hand (261 ms) with the inverted, but not with the anatomical arrangement (left hand = 267 vs. right hand = 268 ms).

Subjective Quality of Life Supporting H1c, analysis revealed a marginally significant effect of pre-retirement multiple identities at Step 1 (β = 0.16, p = 0.053) that explained 2% of the total variance.

The additional exploratory tests (two-tailed Wilcoxon) revealed more future-oriented MW ( z = −2.135, p = 0.033; r = 0.37), as well as marginally non-significant reduced present-oriented MW ( z = −1.939, p = 0.053; r = 0.33) during monaural beats versus sine tone ( Figure 3 ).

The BSI-18 subscale anxiety was negatively associated with age ( r = −0.188, p = 0.001), while for depression, only a negative trend emerged ( r = −0.098, p = 0.053).

The first model was marginally significant [ F (1,632) = 12.15, Δ R 2 = 0.006, p = 0.053] and the second was statistically significant [Δ F (1,631) = 5.51, Δ R 2 = 0.009, p = 0.019].

Results of the mixed model ANOVA indicated the main effect of vision approached significance, F (1,16) = 4.38, p = 0.053, η p 2 = 0.22, with children in the moderate group ( M = 10.33, SD = 0.33) trending toward lower error scores than those in the profound group ( M = 11.42, SD = 0.41).

Planned comparisons indicated that the difference in P e amplitude between errors and correct responses at Fcz was marginally significant in adults, F (1,46) = 3.94, p = 0.053, older children, F (1,46) = 3.06, p = 0.087, and younger children, F (1,46) = 3.25, p = 0.078 groups, but not in the medium children group, p > 0.1.

The difference over time between the three treatment arms for the alerting network approached significance [ F (4,133) = 2.40, p = 0.053].

However, this effect did not reach significance, z = 1.61, p = 0.16 (this effect almost reached significance, p = 0.053, when not controlling for alpha error cumulation).

However, there was a positive correlation with openness ( r = 0.532, p = 0.041) and a near-significant correlation with conscientiousness ( r = -0.509, p = 0.053).

While the difference between 8- and 10-year-olds is not significant (β = 2.167, SE = 1.571, t = 1.416, p = 0.177), the difference between 10-year-olds and adults shows a strong trend of increase (β = 3.250, SE = 1.592, t = 2.041, p = 0.053).
