Highly significant increases in both KRAS4A and KRAS4B transcripts were found in RNAseq data from KRAS mutant versus WT lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors, but KRAS4A showed a greater fold increase (1.7) than KRAS4B (1.2) (Supplementary Fig. 9A–C ).

After adjusting for missing storms, the century-scale decrease in USA-striking HU fraction is weaker and of modest significance, largely reflecting the influence of a maximum in the 1910s (Fig. 3 ).

The adjusted basin-wide MH record retains a nominally positive trend, but the trends after 1878 are not significant, and those computed from 1851 are only marginally significant.

The larger subpopulation of cells (subcluster 0) included a subgrouping of cells, highly expressing CCL19 showing a strong trend toward more SSc fibroblasts (Fig. 3b ), the SSc CCL19 + fibroblasts clustering separately from the control CCL19 + fibroblasts (Fig. 2c ), expressing higher levels of CCL19 (Fig. 3a ) and localizing primarily perivascularly (Supplementary Fig. 4 ).

With five additional protons compared to molybdenum, silver exhibits a larger increase in charge radius, perhaps indicating an increasing trend in magnitude towards doubly-magic 100 Sn.

There was a highly significant correlation ( r = 0.82 for TCID50 and r = 0.83 for plaque assays) between the infectious viral particles and viral RNA levels in the supernatants (Fig. 1h, i ), indicating that the qPCR accurately represents infectious virus particle yield but may even underestimate the effects 5 , 24 .

While some have argued that there have been major long-term decreases in global levels of violence and prejudice 8 , the number of reported hate crimes in the United States increased by 12.5% in 2017, the fourth consecutive year with a positive trend, while general crime rates experienced a decline during the same period 9 , 10 .

The percentage of nominally significant meta-analyses ranged from 0% for gallbladder cancer (which had only two available meta-analyses) to 74% for head and neck cancer (Table 2 ) and from 0% for legumes/soy products to 54% for alcohol and 67% for grains (which had only three available meta-analyses) (Supplementary Data 4 ).

The AM4 experiments show that the positive trend can be attributed to a positive ΔERF trend (0.49 Wm −2 decade −1 ; Table 1 ) overcoming a negative trend in λ Δ T s (−0.30 Wm −2 decade −1 ; Fig. 3a , Supplementary Fig. 1a ).

We did not observe any significant difference in dynamin-related protein 1 (DRP1) levels (a marker for mitochondrial fission) although it showed a trend towards an increase in KO mice (Fig. 6d, e ).

9 ; see the “Methods” section), we observed a clear trend in which conserved COPs generally have higher AUCs across molecular features than tissue-specific or unique COPs (Supplementary Fig. 10 ).

Furthermore, in Arabidopsis , cis -(+)-12-oxo phytodienoic acid (OPDA) and 10-oxo dinor -phytodienoic acid ( dn )-OPDA were not significantly affected and even showed a trend of increase at warm temperature like the expression of the regulatory enzymes (Supplementary Fig. 15a, b ).

The core 2 depletion was noted as a nonsignificant trend in the original publication; we identified the specific core 2-type substructure depleted in tumors using substructure decomposition.

These differences were highly significant for all three variants between subgroups of younger (20-50 y.o. n = 25) and older (>50 y.o. n = 25) adults in our cohort (Fig. 1i ).

For the RNA-seq data, nominally significant differentially expressed genes were used to test the enrichment of up- and down-regulated ALP pathways using Fisher’s exact test.

The nC3 cluster, however, shared a marginally significant number of specific-signature genes with cycling populations in the human fetal gland (i.e., cycling sympathoblast and chromaffin, FDR < 0.05, Fisher’s exact test, Fig. 5e ).

All of these differences were highly significant.

Although previous research has not yet detected any global trends in TC rainfall rates 19 , Lau and Zhou 20 found an increasing trend of total TC lifetime accumulate rain in the Atlantic and a decreasing trend in the northeast and northwest Pacific during two recent decades (1988–2007) using relatively low-resolution Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) data.

Overall, observations exhibit an increasing trend in the average TC rainfall rate of about 1.3% per year, a fact that is contributed mainly by the combined effect of the reduction in the inner-core rainfall rate with the increase in rainfall rate on the rainband region.

This impact on dosage is also observed at the protein level for Bag3 , as we found a highly significant linear correlation between mRNA and protein levels (Fig. 5b and Supplementary Fig. 5 ).

A notable trend of lower HIV-1 Gag transcripts was observed in both tissues in ZPAMt exosome-treated mice (Supplementary Fig. 7a, b ).

Correlations for MS with IBD, UC and CD in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were also high (~0.6), but only marginally significant due to the modest number of cell types in this tissue ( N = 11).

Across the 46 genes identified by revTWMR, we observed a clear trend for functional relevance.

In the present study we developed a genetic system to specifically monitor and record cycling cardiomyocytes in situ, and identified an unexpected trend: cycling cardiomyocytes in adult mouse hearts are highly regionalized.

Our finding of a lack of significant interactions between the highly significant local temperature and land use contrasts in part with the previously reported strong effects resulting from the interaction between land use and climate along the elevational gradient of the Kilimanjaro.
