The correction was done in two steps: first, we regressed the expression vector of each gene against covariates and selected those with nominally significant coefficients ( p < 0.01).

Of the 764 SNPs, 98 of them were nominally significant from our data using a threshold of P < 0.01, whereas one would expect only 7.64 to be significant under the null hypothesis ( P = 7.4 × 10 –74 ).
A gain in ISG15 was nominally significantly associated with better recurrence-free survival (RFS) [HR (95% CI):0.40 (0.2–0.80), P = 0.010], disease-specific survival (DSS) [HR:0.30 (0.13–0.71), P = 0.006] and overall survival (OS) [HR:0.31 (0.14–0.69), P = 0.004], but not after correction for multiple testing.
Of the nominally significant modules, lightsteelblue (r = 0.63, p = 0.01) and darkviolet (r = −0.57, p = 0.03) were of the most interest.

The prevalence of FMR1 premutation carriers in the parents of the SSC cohort compared to the prevalence observed in samples from the MRGB ( Figure 3 C) were significantly higher for mothers ( p -value = 4.057 × 10 −5 ) and nominally significant for fathers ( p -value = 0.010).
Causal Effects of Redox Regulatory Drug Targets on Psychiatric Disorders According to a significance threshold of p < 5.78 × 10 −6 for the eQTL level and p < 1.49 × 10 −4 for the pQTL level, genetic variations in the vitamin C target (cofactor, OGFOD2 in cerebellum, OR = 0.784, 95% CI = 0.715–0.859, p = 2.14 × 10 −7 ) and the melatonin target (agonist, RORB in cerebellum, 1.263, 95% CI = 1.167–1.368, p = 8.80 × 10 −9 ; additionally, there were many nominally significant results which could confirm the above results: hypothalamus, p = 1.04 × 10 −2 ; putamen basal ganglia, p = 4.40 × 10 −3 ) were significantly related to the risk of SCZ.
Furthermore, all of the four EHOA loci are within tissue-specific regulatory regions for vascular/endothelial cells which we estimate is 2.8-fold higher than expected by chance alone (expected overlap=35%; 95% CI 0% to 75%), but, as we tested for enrichment within 16 different tissue-specific groups, 23 the enrichment was only nominally significant (p=0.011, online supplemental table S9 ).
However, we found a nominally significant interaction association between PSS:NICU scores and intervention group for PPQ (interaction β=-1.18, 95% CI: -2.10, -0.26; p = .012; Table 3 ).
Rs2814707 heterozygote frequency decreased also with age and the difference between oldest and youngest group was nominally significant ( p = 0.014) but did not survive Bonferroni correction ( Table 1 ).
20 Another research indicated that there was a modest causality for psoriasis on type 2 diabetes ( p = 1.6E4, OR = 1.01), and a nominally significant causality for type 2 diabetes on psoriasis ( p = 0.014, OR = 1.05). 21 Considering that psoriasis was a systemic inflammatory disease, FI seems to be more reasonable and clinically relevant than a single factor to assess psoriasis risk, which has been applied in skin cancer. 22 The underlying mechanism by which FI increases the risk of psoriasis remains unclear.
The comparator, metformin, also exhibited a significant negative association with progression to ICU admission (OR 0.49; CI 95 0.35–0.68; p < 0.001) and a nominally significant association with progression to mechanical ventilator status (OR 0.50; CI 95 0.29–0.85; p = 0.014), consistent with the secondary findings of the COVID-OUT randomized controlled trial. 31 We did not observe a significant association with progression to either ICU admission or mechanical ventilator status for either carvedilol or quetiapine following multiple hypothesis correction.
Three intronic variants of XDH gene were nominally significant, including rs513311 (intron 3) (OR = 2.10, 95% CI = 1.14–3.85, P = 0.017; rs561525 (intron 9) (OR = 2.18, 95% CI = 1.04–4.59, P = 0.040), and rs2163059 (intron 12) (OR = 0.75, 95% CI 0.58–0.96, P = 0.026).
However, results of the enriched Amerindian or African variants’ interaction with APOE -ɛ4 on MCI analysis, the BinomiRare test identified one nominally significant interaction between an African enriched variant, rs8112679, and APOE -ɛ4 on MCI ( p -value = 0.017) (Table 4 ).
The two variants were not genome-wide significant in our study, but nominally significant into the same direction (p = 0.018 and p = 0.003).
For the third approach using the correlation between expression and DNA methylation, 4 genes showed a nominally significant correlation between expression and methylation: AES (Spearman rho=-0.54, p =0.02), SAR1A (Spearman rho=0.50, p =0.03), CRYBG2 (Spearman rho=0.47, p =0.04), and S1PR4 (Spearman rho=-0.48, pval=0.04).
We observed nominally significant genetic correlation between BAG and AD that did not survive FDR-correction ( r = 0.23, SE = 0.1, p = 0.02, FDR adjusted p = 0.13) and no significant associations with any other of the four disorders (Fig. 2a ).
In the largest GWAS on nucleus accumbens volume, 7 this variant was nominally significant ( p = 0.02), showing the improved power of our current study to identify novel brain morphometry loci.
