Although the decline in total B cells (CD3 − CD19 + CD20 + ) and naïve B cells (CD3 − CD19 + CD20 + CD27 − CD38 lo ) did not reach statistical significance, mature/activated B cells (CD3 − CD19 + CD20 + CD27 + CD38 moderate ) declined significantly from 313 (267–392) cells/10 5 lymphocytes to 64 (28–166), P = 0.008, and memory B cells (CD3 − CD19 + CD20 + CD27 + CD38 − ) decreased from 608 (380–842) cells/10 5 lymphocytes to 101 (36–200), P = 0.004 (Figure 4 ).
Inhibition The hierarchical regression analysis showed that, under the more stringent alpha level of 0.01, the association between parent ratings of total motor skills and inhibition among Taiwanese children with ASD did not reach statistical significance after controlling for covariates ( β = 0.26, p = 0.01).
The survival rate in the ECLS team group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but this difference did not reach statistical significance (P > 0.01) (See Table 4 ). 3.5 Complications and prognosis of ECPR patients in the two groups In the group of 29 patients who received ECPR, the utilization rates of mechanical ventilation, IABP, and CRRT were 100 %, 55.1 %, and 37.9 %, respectively.
RESULTS Both groups showed improvements in negative and positive attitudes, although the reduction in scores for the negative attitude domain did not reach statistical significance in the IL + SP group (for the SP group, P = .01 and < .001, respectively; for the IL + SP group, P = .15 and .01, respectively).
Surprisingly, the effects of excessive iron intake on serum and liver GSH or GSSG did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 5 e,f,h), while high iron significantly decreased the GSH/GSSG ratio ( Figure 5 g) ( p < 0.01), which also indicated that lipid peroxidation occurred in the mouse liver.
Utility of enrolment biomarkers in predicting recurrent shock and respiratory distress At ICU admission with shock, patients with higher Syndecan-1 levels were more likely to develop recurrent shock (OR = 1.82, 95% CI 1.07–3.35, P = 0.038); however, after adjustment for multiple comparisons, the association did not reach statistical significance (at our predefined level of P < 0.01).
At 6 months after CA, both higher W/H ratio and BF% groups showed relatively larger LA size compared with their counterparts, but it did not reach statistical significance in BF% groups (W/H ratio: 34.2 ± 11.1 ml/m 2 vs 29.4 ± 8.7 ml/m 2 , P = 0.018, and BF%: 34.9 ± 10.8 ml/m 2 vs 30.8 ± 10.2 ml/m 2 , P = 0.060).
This outcome, whose individual components did not reach statistical significance, occurred in 35.5% of patients on treatment vs. 38.5% in the placebo group [relative risk (RR), 0.90; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.82–0.98; P = 0.02]; 16.4% of patients on treatment and 17.5% of patients in the placebo arm died of cardiovascular causes (RR, 0.93; 95% CI, 0.81 to 1.06); 27.4% of patients on treatment and 29.6% in the placebo group were hospitalized for HF (RR, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.81–1.00).
